What Do Wesley Students Love About Wesley?
The Undergraduate Research Opportunities
For some students, that doesn’t mean much now—but it’s something you’ll find to be very cool at Wesley. Our students start research projects as early as freshman year, which means they’re out and about exploring a topic they’re passionate about, finding solutions to everyday problems, creating apps for farmers, working on a database on cancer drugs…you get the idea. And we celebrate that research every year with Scholars Day, an annual tradition that builds students’ confidence and presentation skills—and makes them realize they really own their education here.
The Opportunities in General
From organizing a new club to having their voices heard in conferences across the nation, Wesley students open new doors every day. This is a place where you can be a leader, or whoever it is you’re meant to be. On your tour, ask us more about these opportunities. Our students have a lot of incredible stories to tell; just listen.
The Faculty and Staff
Here’s the thing about Wesley. It’s nearly impossible to not do well. Professors here care so deeply about the personal and professional development of their students, that they’ll go out of their way, beyond office hours, to keep pushing you further. Because of that, students here really grow. They really accomplish things, and they find out who they are.
No matter what your background is or who you were in high school, you’ll find that everyone who attends Wesley is accepting of diversity, welcoming to new faces, and eager to create a college family of their own. That’s why it’s so common for students to stick around campus even on the weekends.
